Octoparse

Octoparse is a visual web scraping tool that lets you extract data from websites without writing code. Using HypeProxy.io proxies prevents IP blocks during large-scale extraction jobs.

Setting Up HypeProxy.io with Octoparse

1. Open Octoparse and go to Settings (gear icon).
2. Navigate to Proxy Settings.
3. Click Add Proxy and enter your HypeProxy.io details:
   • Proxy Address: Your proxy host (e.g., fr.hypeproxy.host)
   • Port: Your assigned port number
   • Username: Your proxy username
   • Password: Your proxy password
4. Select the proxy type (HTTP/HTTPS or SOCKS5).
5. Click Test to verify the connection.
6. Save the settings.

You can also configure proxies per task in the task settings to use different proxies for different scraping jobs.

Tips

• Use mobile proxies from HypeProxy.io for scraping websites with strong anti-bot protection.
• For large jobs, rotate your IP between runs using the HypeProxy.io API.
• Configure delays in Octoparse's task settings (2-5 seconds between requests) to avoid triggering rate limits.
• Octoparse supports proxy rotation — add multiple proxies to rotate automatically between requests.
