Android
Android is the most widely used mobile operating system. You can configure HypeProxy.io proxies on Android for mobile browsing and app traffic.
Wi-Fi Proxy Setup
- Open Settings → Wi-Fi (or Network & Internet → Wi-Fi).
- Tap the gear icon next to your connected network (or long-press → Modify network).
- Expand Advanced options.

- Tap Save.
Android will prompt for authentication when you first browse through the proxy.
Using a Proxy App
For SOCKS5 support or to proxy all traffic (including cellular data), use an app like Drony:
- Install Drony from the Play Store.
- Open the app and go to Settings.
- Select your Wi-Fi network and tap Proxy type.
- Choose Manual and enter:
- Hostname: Your proxy host
- Port: Your proxy port
- Username/Password: Your proxy credentials
- Enable the proxy — Drony creates a local VPN to route traffic.
Important Notes
- Built-in proxy settings only work on Wi-Fi connections, not cellular data.
- Some apps may bypass the system proxy. Use a VPN-based proxy app for complete coverage.
- For SOCKS5 protocol, you must use a third-party app — Android's native settings only support HTTP/HTTPS proxies.
